When it comes to advanced electronic MOSFET brands, one notable company has quickly risen to the forefront of popularity.
GATE.
Being the first company to introduce optical technology into the AEG gearbox, it's no surprise that they've stayed in the spotlight for upgrade components. To be entirely fair, the GATE Titan MOSFET is a fantastic piece of airsoft engineering that deserves serious consideration for anyone looking to upgrade their airsoft rifle. It's tried-and-true reliability and ease of programming through the GATE GCS app have cemented it as a gold-standard of what electronic upgrade components can be.
And though their praise is entirely warranted, let it not distract you from the developments going on in another advanced MOSFET company...
Introducing...
In all fairness, Jefftron didn't have nearly as clean a start as GATE. Their original Gen 1 Leviathan MOSFETs came out with a tough competitor already dominating the scene. The GATE TITAN's popularity and reliability simply overshadowed Jefftron's debut, leaving this MOSFET as the smaller of the two at the time. At the time, I would've agreed that the TITAN MOSFET was simply the better way to go. But with hard work from the development team at Jefftron, the answer today might not be so simple...
Jefftron soon followed the modern trend, taking their first steps into Optical MOSFET territory. Like the popular TITAN, it uses light sensors to detect the movement of the fire-selector, gears, and trigger to allow for programming and adjustment of variables within the gearbox. Unlike the TITAN, it stays true to it's origins as a microswitch MOSFET and actually retains the tactile button-switch at the end of the trigger's travel. This addition opens up the Jefftron's possibilities for tactile hair-trigger mods that require a tangible wall to bounce the trigger off of for extremely fast semi-automatic action. Such a feature is completely absent on any GATE product! Additionally, for players that enjoy the trigger break of a real firearm trigger, Jefftron has added their RFTS (Real Feel Trigger System) to simulate that trigger break. Sometimes the lack of tangibility found in standard optical MOSFETs can feel hollow. Having a physical break to interact with in the trigger can add to the satisfaction and security of each shot you take. Finally, what truly makes the Jefftron so appealing (at least before the GATE TITAN II was released) is it's ability to be programmed via Bluetooth without the need for an aftermarket programming module. With the GATE TITAN, you needed to either purchase the USB Link or BluLink to get your rifle to function with GATE's GCS app. The Jefftron? Just turn your phone's Bluetooth on and it's good to go right out of the box! GATE also requires that you pay an additional fee to access certain programmability features, forcing you to pay a premium for "advanced" or "expert" options. Jefftron has no such cost barriers to it's programmability and even immediately offers users any newly updated feature for no additional cost. All in all, the Jefftron Leviathan offers a plethora of additional features for user interaction without the need for any additional purchases. It is slightly more expensive than the base TITAN, but you get all that you pay for right from the get-go. Looking to give your AEG the gift of advanced programmability? The Jefftron Leviathan might just be perfect for you!

Jefftron V2 Optical Leviathan Main Functions:
- Adds new shooting modes independent for every position on the fire selector (SAFE - SEMI - AUTO)
- Three adjustable bursts (range 2 - 20 shots)
- It preserves empty magazine detection like the original gun
- Rate of fire can be reduce to 40%. It add breaks between shots to reduce RoF. It gives fast trigger response even with very low rate of fire, just like in a real gun.
- Adjustable strength active braking (can be disabled)
- Pre-cocking function for instant shot on SEMI fire
- Delay between shots adds time in which isn't possible to shoot, it simulates the delay from gun reload or recoil (range 0,1 - 4,0 seconds)
- Electronic fuse set sensitivity for high current detection to avoid any damage if something goes wrong
- Low battery indication for 2S - 4S li-pol and 3S - 4S li-fe
- Virtual magazine simulates low capacity magazines, it will force the gun to stop shooting when it reach 0. There can be set warning after shot before empty magazine and how it will be reloaded
- On the board are input and output ports for controlling external devices or Leviathan
- Statistics screen shows shooting output with cycle timing, motor current consumption, rate of fire and temperatures. It allows you to do fine-tune gearbox upgrade
- Application shows actual battery voltage value. Color lines indicates battery charge status where green is OK, orange will warn after each shot and red will not allow to shoot
- User can save multiple settings under profiles
- Update function fixes bugs and adds new features to the device
- There are three shot counters. Total count every shot during the device lifetime. User counter can be reset by user anytime. Power-up counter is reset by battery connection
- Error log shows errors made during the device life also can be erased by user
- For better security wireless connection can be disable by the selector switch (can be deactivated)
- Leviathan monitors current, voltage and temperature to avoid any damage when something go wrong
- Motor vibrates and beeps as a feedback for user
- Programmed settings are saved in the Leviathan memory immediately after their change, so you can immediately test it and settings aren't lost when is battery disconnected or lost connection with smartphone
- New functions are for free for every user via online update function
Simply put, the Jefftron Leviathan does more and offers more system data than the base GATE TITAN. That being said, the GATE TITAN still does just about all the same basic fundamentals. Realistically, not every single one of these features is going to be put to use. The decision of whether the extra features that come with the Jefftron are worth it is entirely up to you and your needs! Good luck upgrading, and may your AEG go BBRRRRR!!
