" I recommended the M4 RIS 8" Stubby version to a friend of mine and let's just say this gun is a beast for the price. This is SUPPOSED to be a beginner gun but I'd say this is more than capable enough for a backup or even a main for an intermediate player. The build of this gun is great for the price. It's a mix of metal and polymer but most of the metal is on the handguard area which does make it a little forward heavy. But if you get the shorter barrel versions that shouldn't be a problem. Accessing the buffer tube where the battery goes is a bit of a pain, but it's definitely worth it because this gun has a sale price of $135 but it's capable of handling an 11.1v lipo. And with that 11.1v lipo the fps is right around 390. Now the best part of this gun in my opinion is the rps. I have a $300 gun and I have other friends with $230+ dollar guns and this cheap little gun shot wayyy faster than all of them! I don't know the exact rps but it's got to be around 25. Each shot isn't always super consistent and on full auto the bbs kind of spray everywhere due to the shorter barrel but that could be a pro for some people!
